These ansi asme class 600 socket weld pipe flanges are counter bored to accept the pipe before being fillet welded. Class 600 Socket welding flanges are typically used on smaller sizes of high pressure pipes. The pipe is inserted into the socket end of the socketweld flange and fillet weld is applied around the hub of the flange. The bore of the pipe and flange are both same therefore giving smooth flow characteristics. An optional internal weld may be applied in high stress applications. Tesco Steel & Engineering manufacture a wide range of high quality ANSI ASME Class 600 Socket Weld Flanges in India. We offer these flanges in ASME/ANSI/DIN standards.

Advantages of ANSI / ASME Class 600 Socketweld Flanges

Socketweld flanges offer several advantages over other types of flanges. They are designed to provide a leak-proof seal, which is essential in high-pressure applications. The socketweld connection provides a strong and reliable joint that can withstand high pressure and temperature.

Socketweld flanges are also easy to install and can be used in tight spaces where welding may not be possible.

Another advantage of socketweld flanges is that they are easy to maintain. The socketweld connection can be easily disassembled, allowing for easy access to the piping system for cleaning, inspection, and repairs.

Socketweld flanges are also available in a wide range of materials, sizes, and pressure ratings, making them suitable for a variety of applications.

Materials Used for ANSI / ASME Class 600 Socketweld Flanges

Socketweld flanges are available in a wide range of materials, each with its own unique properties and characteristics. The most common materials used for socketweld flanges include:

- Carbon Steel
- Stainless Steel
- Alloy Steel
- Duplex Steel
- Nickel Alloy
- Titanium

The choice of material will depend on the specific application and the fluid or gas being transported. Carbon steel socketweld flanges are commonly used in low-pressure applications, while stainless steel socketweld flanges are used in high-pressure and high-temperature applications. Alloy steel socketweld flanges are used in applications where high strength and corrosion resistance are required. Duplex steel socketweld flanges are used in applications where high strength and corrosion resistance are required. Nickel alloy socketweld flanges are used in applications where high temperature and corrosion resistance are required. Titanium socketweld flanges are used in applications where high strength and corrosion resistance are required.
